Everyone deserves a living wage. Those of us who believe in honest work for honest pay know how important it is to be able to feed ourselves and our families.

Here in the US and in many parts of the Group of 8 most developed nations, times are tough, but in developing nations farmers and producers have to battle powerful corporate lobbies and unfair trade subsidies just to get a fair start. The recent uprisings in Burma are a powerful reminder of this unfortunate politic.

When we buy Fair Trade Certified goods, we're ensuring that the producers of these goods are being paid a fair and living wage for their work.
